For the past few days, residents of my sister village, Almughayer in the West Bank have been attacked by mobs of Israeli settlers. I have not heard anything from you about these attacks- not one word. Israeli soldiers and settlers also raided and vandalized homes, kidnapped several residents, stole money and assaulted Palestinian men, women and children, young and old.

Why are you not speaking up? Do you not know about the Chicago area members from our sister village? To safeguard these at risk Palestinians, you must ENDORSE, as so few from Illinois have, Delia Ramirez' H.R.3565, the Block the Bombs Act., H.Res.876 – Recognizing the Genocide of the Palestinian People in Gaza and revive the Leahy Laws, in particular lobby your colleagues who have responsibility to do this: Sen., Jim Risch, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Rep. Brian Mast, Rep. Gregory Meeks, Sen. John Thune, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Speaker Mike Johnson.

You are using my tax dollars to commit these crimes. This is not new! This did not just start! Since September, Israel uprooted and burned 1,600 olive trees, tortured then murdered 100 sheep and 3 weeks ago, shot and killed a 14-year-old boy from Almughayer for supposedly throwing stones. This is NOT in Gaza, where Israel is using my money to trap, continue to bomb and deny food and medicine to 2 million Palestinians.

Stop allowing my money to be used to attack my sister village, Almughayer! And stop the genocide in Gaza. Use my tax dollars to fund schools and jobs, not Israel's attacks on my sister village.
