TLDR: Please flood House Democrats with letters. The House will vote this week on a bill that would exclude partisan extremists, including Kenneth Marcus, an anti-Palestinian zealot, from GMU's Board of Visitors

If you're like me, you've been hoping for some good news, and here it is:

SJ275--the bill that would block three political ideologues from Mason's Board of Visitors--has passed the House Privileges and Elections Committee! Thank you, Chairperson Marcia Price (D-85)!!

Important: one of the ideologues who would be blocked by the bill is Kenneth Marcus, the leading force behind the legal movement to equate criticism of Israel with antisemitic speech. Marcus is also responsible for installing the IHRA definition of antisemitism in the university's anti-discrimination policy, ignoring Mason's usual procedures for changing university policies.

So next, SJ275 will go to the floor for a full House vote. Democratic House members need to hear from us now - Please help us stop political interference at GMU!

This is urgent. We need to flood the offices of Democratic House delegates with letters and phone calls asking them to block this batch of right-wing operatives from joining our BOV.
