SUPPORT RECOVERY: Tell the House of Appropriations and Senate Finance to support VARR's budget
Recovery advocates, we need your support!
Over the past three years, the Virginia Association of Recovery Residences (VARR) has utilized funding allocated by the Virginia General Assembly from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to support recovery from substance use disorder throughout the Commonwealth. Funding has been used to help persons with financial barriers access recovery housing and recovery support services, as well as expand recovery support services across the state.
Additionally, funding makes possible the Recovery Corps program and Peer Navigator program, further developing and expanding Virginia’s peer workforce. To ensure these vital evidence-based recovery support services continue, with ARPA funds expiring, VARR has an important budget request for the FY2025 & FY2026 budget.
Please take a moment to sign this letter to the General Assembly supporting Senator Hackworth’s (budget item 293 #2s) and Delegate Carr’s (budget item 296 #2h).
Thank you for your support!
