We Stand with Umaymah! IOF out of Healthcare!

Tell Emory School of Medicine you support Palestinian MD/PhD Candidate Umaymah Mohammad.

Umaymah Mohammad was unjustly suspended in November of 2024 over calling into question the complicity of U.S. medical schools in the genocide in Gaza, including her own. She compared the treatment of a Palestinian physician, who was terminated in October 2023 over her support for Palestine at Emory, with the allowance of a faculty-physician at her medical school to serve in the IDF during the genocide. He was able to return to teach at the institution with no consequence after participating in a genocide. You can watch her DemocracyNow interview here where she makes this comparison.

Many people have attempted to oppose Emory School of Medicine's targeting of Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim students for their advocacy on Palestine. In fact, PalLegal and CAIR-GA filed a Title 6 complaint with the Department of Education to investigation Emory's anti-Palestinian and anti-Muslim racism. Join Emory's own Committee for Open Expression (report) in condemning her UNJUST and ILLEGITIMATE suspension and calling for her reinstatement!

Send an email to the medical school through this campaign to let them know that you support Umaymah, and that IDF soldiers who serve in a military committing genocide should not be allowed to practice medicine.

Use this script to call the deans at Emory's School of Medicine and express your outrage over their silencing of a Palestinian student activist.
