Write a Letter to the County Commissioners
Making Kent County’s schools the best in the state starts with increasing educator pay. We have endured several years of various cuts and two consolidations within the last 10 years. It needs to stop.
In 2016 we were able to make up the 3 steps that we had lost the previous three years. In 2017 we were able to continue our financial growth with an additional step and COLA. In 2018 we have ratified a contract that continues this growth. The time is now. We need to keep our momentum going. Add your voice and send an email to urge the County Commissioners to support:
- Passing the Superintendent’s proposed budget with the funding teachers and support staff deserves
- Provide living wages for all support staff
- The need for additional staff in buildings to provide both teachers and students with support
