Write a letter to the editor against the ‘Anti-Labor Secretary’

We need to speak out against President-elect Trump’s pick for our next Secretary of Labor. Andrew Puzder is the head of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants and makes more in one day than his employees make in a year. The millionaire fast-food giant has repeatedly argued against increases to the minimum wage or overtime pay for the people who make his chain so successful. He’s even complained about the need for providing rest breaks and meal breaks in the workplace.

Andrew Puzder’s harmful views have no place at the Department of Labor. Help us get the word out about his shameful record by writing a letter to the editor of your local paper now.

Please remember to customize your letter by referencing your city, state or county, or specific issues in your community. Newspaper editors won’t accept cookie cutter letters – so spend a few minutes adapting these points. And remember, letters must be short and concise to be published - 150 words or less!

To get started, just enter your contact information so we can find a paper near you and hit “Start Writing.” Then you’ll be able to take our sample letter and make it your own before you submit your letter.
