Youth across the country fought tirelessly through ongoing activism and advocacy to make climate change one of President Biden’s top priorities.  It is thanks to the pressure of youth activists that the Biden administration has committed to cutting climate pollution in half by 2030.

Now, it’s time for us to turn up the heat to make sure our congress members and President Biden actually pass a sufficient budget so we can realistically reach that goal and go even further. That’s why we’re asking you to send a letter to your members of congress asking them to prioritize the following investments:

• $1.1 trillion for clean, renewable energy

• $600 billion to expand and electrify public transit

• $600 billion to retrofit public buildings, including schools and public housing

• $132 Billion to fully fund the Civilian Climate Corps

• Investments at the level of President Biden’s American Jobs and Families Plans for the care economy

• Labor and equity standards throughout for these investments
