We have good news (& one last push to victory!!)! Your organizing is working, we have had two major advances in the budget arena:

• CalSHAPE has officially been included in the Senate's budget recommendation!
• Our CalOSHA staffing study has been included in the Assembly budget recommendation. Although we couldn’t move the bill (AB2488) establishing the program, this is an opportunity to win a similar outcome through a different pathway. We still have to get into the final agreement but this is a big step forward!  

Let’s continue to use the momentum from our great organizing for one last push to save CalShape funding for climate resilient schools and get funding for a study to design a CalOSHA recruitment and training pipeline program!

The calls & e-mails to legislators and sign-on letters from school officials, legislators & other labor leaders are making a big impact and we need to keep them up!  Write the Budget Committees leadership and tell them to include CalShape funding and the CalOSHA workforce study in the final budget agreement!
