Your taxes. Their children. Tell Congress to enforce the law.
The UN has found that Israel deliberately targeted and killed Palestinian children, amounting to genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes, and has named Israeli forces the single most prominent perpetrator of grave violations against children anywhere in the world.
This was not crossfire. The UN's Commission of Inquiry found that children were shot in the head and the chest by drones and snipers, that one Israeli soldier described the work as feeling "like a game," and that the deliberate killing of children is itself one of the clearest signs of intent to destroy a people. An Israeli politician said on television that "every child in Gaza is the enemy."
The evidence is specific. A fourteen-year-old was left to bleed to death over forty-five minutes while soldiers watched, his cap kicked back at him when he signaled for help, his body never returned. A baby was shot through the head by a drone while nursing at his mother's breast. More than a thousand children had an arm or a leg amputated in three months, many of them babies, many with no anesthesia. A twelve-year-old starved to death under the siege, her evacuation approved two weeks after she died. More than 21,000 Palestinian children have been killed since October 2023, and the UN says the true number is higher.
The United States pays for it. We send Israel $3.8 billion in weapons every year, and at least $16 billion more since October 2023. That funding breaks our own laws. At least four U.S. statutes and four obligations under international law say these weapons should stop. Congress just won't enforce them.
We are not asking Congress to make a new law. We are asking it to follow the law we already have.
