100% Renewable Energy in Oregon

Governor Brown

All around us, we’re seeing the effects of climate change on our environment and our quality of life. Record-setting storms, raging wildfires and extreme drought are affecting our communities across the country and the world. We need to shift to 100% renewable energy as quickly as possible to mitigate the worst effects of climate change. 100% renewables are 100% possible. Portland is among the more than 50 cities nationwide that have already committed to going 100 percent renewable! Now more than ever, we need our state to lead the way for clean energy.

Oregon can lead on climate by committing to 100% renewable by 2050.

Burning oil, gas and coal has polluted our air, water and land for decades. Now it’s changing our climate even faster than scientists feared it would. We can have healthier communities right now and a livable future for generation. But to get there, we need to transform the way we produce and consume energy.

That's why we’re calling for a statewide commitment to 100% renewable energy.
