Stop the Execution of Jesse Guardado in Florida

Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Board of Executive Clemency

Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a death warrant for Jesse Guardado, who was sentenced to death for the murder of Jackie Malone on September 13th, 2004, in Walton County. Jesse was a student at the infamous Dozier School of Boys, shuttered after evidence of severe abuse came to light. The execution is scheduled for November 11th at 6:00 PM.

Please sign this petition urging Governor DeSantis and the Florida Board of Executive Clemency to stop this execution and commute Jesse Guardado's sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

We stand together to urge you to stop the execution of Jesse Guardado, who was sentenced to death for the murder of Jackie Malone.

The murder of Jackie Malone was horrific, and any plea for Jesse’s life must acknowledge the profound loss and suffering caused by his actions.

But another death will not undo that harm. Jesse can be held accountable without being executed.

Please stop the execution of Jesse Guardado and commute his death sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
