A Message To Our Elected Officials: #DoYourJob
U.S. Congress (Senate and House Representatives)
To All Members of the U.S. Congress,
Americans are asking you to honor the demands of the people you have been entrusted to represent. As an elected official, you are assigned a privileged and influential position by the people who elected you. We are urging all elected officials to work together by putting party-politics aside, and working with President Barack Obama, to fill the vacancy in the Supreme Court.
This is a call to action for all elected officials to influence and ensure that the American people are not left without the highest court in the land.
The American People are frustrated by the inaction of their representatives from both parties, and are demanding that you put an end to divisive rhetoric. We can not, in good conscience, allow this level of division in a Nation that finds its strength in unity.
- 6 Justices have been confirmed in a presidential election year since 1900
- Every nominee has received a vote within 125 days of nomination
Not only are actions such as these unsustainable, they are divisive and create uncertainty among the American people. There is little faith in our Congress during one of the most tumultuous times in recent history. With a mere 12% approval rating, it is time for all representatives to act expeditiously on this matter.
Anything less is a tremendous disservice to every American, and every sacrifice made for our freedom, civility, equality, and the common good.

Please work with the President to quickly fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court.
The Senate has a Constitutional Duty to provide "Advice and Consent" on Supreme Court nominees. Refusing to give any nominee a vote until the next election lacks integrity and places partisan rhetoric ahead of your moral and legal obligations.
Americans deserve the highest court in the land to be functional and fully-staffed. A long-term vacancy born from political gridlock is disgrace. When President Obama picks his nominee for the Supreme Court, it is your "Constitutional Duty" to provide a hearing and vote on the Senate floor.
I urge you to make sure that any Supreme Court nominee receives a fair hearing and timely vote.
Thank you
