Access To Healthcare
Natividad Medical Center
Access to affordable healthcare in Monterey County is an ongoing concern for many in our community. The financial burden of medical care plays a significant factor in the high turnover rates of our local educators. Please sign this petition to urge our local healthcare centers to increase access so that our colleagues can remain in our community and provide our students with the strong, consistent education they deserve.
This petition is for Natividad Health Center, urging them to bring further medical access to our community (for example: by allowing Kaiser Permanente to partner with them so they may come into Monterey County)

We, the undersigned, wish to express that any action that may increase choice and access to affordable healthcare in Monterey County should be encouraged with utmost conviction. If Natividad hospital is able, through its work with other providers, to increase access and choice to our local educators then we ask that you sincerely consider doing so.
All of us either have personal experience, or know someone closely with personal experience, of having to make tough financial decisions for our families based on a lack of access to affordable healthcare. Whether this is because many educators have to travel significant distances for basic medical procedures (including childbirth) or make a decision about purchasing basic necessities (gas, food, rent/ utilities) versus paying medical bills for a month, we believe it is the ethical obligation of all of us, but especially of our local hospitals to work to improve the situation for those who serve our communities and their families, as well as the communities we serve.
Thank you for considering our voice in your upcoming decision-making.
