Act Now: Stop Trump's Offshore Drilling Disaster!
Dr. Walter Cruickshank, Acting Director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management
Trump’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has promised to scrap the existing five-year oil and gas leasing program – developed over years of scientific review and taking into account millions of public comments – and replace it with one that expands Big Oil’s access to our federal waters.
We have until midnight this Thursday, August 17th, to submit comments to BOEM telling them why offshore drilling is bad for our communities, our economy, and the climate.
Submit your comment now and let’s stop this Big Oil giveaway!

I am writing to oppose any new oil and gas leasing off our coasts.
Opening protected areas in the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans, and the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, to new oil and gas drilling is antithetical to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management's mission.
I urge the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to honor the existing five-year offshore oil and gas leasing plan and reconsider efforts to open our shared ocean resources to new drilling. Our oceans should be protected, not polluted.
