Apple and Google App Store Censorship is pro-ICE
Apple and Google
When Big Tech sucks up to the Trump Administration, it puts us all at risk. Apple and Google most recently agreed to a government requests to remove ICE tracking apps off their app stores. This includes RedDot and ICEBlock, both apps that lets people report sightings of and be conscious of the whereabouts of ICE officers. Also, Eyes Up, an App that simply archived videos of ICE Abuses and preserves evidence until it can be used in court. This app store censorship helps government surveillance efforts and puts real people in danger, all while setting a terrible precedent where the Trump Administration gets to decide what apps we can and can’t access. No company should have the power to decide what apps we use. Sign the petition demanding Apple and Google stop blocking ICEBlock and protect users’ rights by ignoring authoritarian demands from the government.

I am writing to demand your company stop enabling government censorship and surveillance by removing critical apps like ICEBlock, RedDot and Eyes Up from the app store and imposing restrictive developer policies that threaten free expression. Accepting government requests to pull apps from the app store sets a dangerous precedent and supercharges authoritarian actions. By centralizing control over app distribution, you make it easier for any government to censor dissent, eliminate privacy tools, and crush grassroots movements with a single request. You have a choice. Stand with users and don't be a tool for censorship and oppression.
