Aspro Parks It's Time For Change
Aspro Parks Entertainment Ltd

We are petitioning Aspro Parks to request that they immediately begin to address the severe critical deficiencies of their dolphinariums. Namely:
Aqualand Maspalomas (Las Palmas, Spain)
Aqualand (Costa Adeje, Tenerife)
Palmitos Park (Las Palmas, Spain)
Marineland (Barcelona, Spain)
Marineland (Mallorca)
Jungle Park (Arona, Spain)
Boudewijn Sea park (Brugge, Belgium)
Dolfinarium (Harderwijk, Netherlands)The dolphins within the above facilities lack access to shade from the sun, exposing the dolphins to potential sunburn. This is a simple inexpensive measure that Aspro can implement with immediate effect, but by failing to address the dolphins’ needs, clearly demonstrate that Aspro are only interested in the amount of money these dolphins are making them from the daily dolphin shows. We would also like to request that Aspro stop “the ‘swim with dolphin’ and petting sessions with other marine species like sea lions. These are exposing the marine species to diseases from humans while also putting humans at risk from the marine mammals themselves. As demonstrated by the previous incidents of marine species attacking guests at Aspro parks.
Sadly, all of the marine species owned by Aspro parks reside in barren conditions that do not mimic their natural environment thus restricting and preventing them from carrying out their natural behaviors
Aspro Natura foundation opened in 1984, a non profit environmental institution operating from Aspro Parks. They claim to support the rehabilitation of endangered species by gathering data for biological samples, conducting behavioural studies and participating in global breeding programs. However, currently they advertise being involved with just three ongoing research projects, a small contribution to research considering Aspro parks have 60 facilities.
Moreover, the foundation continue to advertise their involvement in dolphin cognition research despite this being carried out from 1999 to 2002, 16 years ago. The foundation has shown no significant signs of innovation in their goals or areas of activity thereby bringing into question the real purpose of Aspro Natura.
By simply signing this petition you can help send a message to Aspro parks highlighting that there is wide scale support for providing the species with better welfare via simple changes.
Please support our campaign and become a voice for the various marine species that are owned by Aspro Parks by signing and sharing our petition,
On behalf of all the team at Marine Mammal Support Organization.
Thank you.
