Senator Kelly and Senator Sinema: Demand Impeachment NOW

Senator Mark Kelly (AZ) and Senator Kyrsten Sinema (AZ)

During the congressional certification of the 2020 election, thousands of President Trump’s most vitriolic and ill-intentioned supporters, incited to march on the Capitol by the President himself, descended upon and quickly occupied both chambers of Congress. Senators and Representatives were forced into hiding. Law enforcement was overwhelmed and assaulted; at least one officer has succumbed to the injuries he sustained in defense of the capitol. No fewer than six people have died and many more were injured in what has been rightly described as a “siege.”

Senator Kelly and Senator Sinema have, as of this point, remained unacceptably and noticeably silent on the urgent matter of holding President Trump, the most dangerous President of our lifetimes, accountable for the anti-democratic violence he has incited and encouraged throughout his term in office. That silence must end.

Join us in demanding that Senators Sinema and Kelly to publicly call for Trump's immediate impeachment and removal from office.

This explosion of anti-democratic violence did not occur in a vacuum. And despite what our most mislead and most misleading elected officials might say, it did not occur at the behest of a few antifascist activists. This was a planned, prepared and purposeful attempt at insurrection that was premeditated in internet chatrooms and has been given life by a handful of deeply irresponsible and opportunistic politicians and pundits.

Senator Kelly and Senator Sinema have, as of this point, remained unacceptably and noticeably silent on the urgent matter of holding President Trump, the most dangerous President of our lifetimes, accountable for the anti-democratic violence he has incited and encouraged throughout his term in office. To my Senator: As your constituent, I echo the growing bipartisan sentiment expressed by current and former state legislators, current and former US legislators, and community leaders around the country by demanding the immediate impeachment, removal from office, and disqualification from any future public office of President Donald J. Trump.
