Ban Chemical Lobbyists from the EPA
United States Congress
Right now, chemical industry lobbyists are working behind the scenes in Washington to gut the federal law that protects you and your family from toxic chemicals. The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)—the bedrock law that gives the EPA the power to regulate dangerous chemicals—is under attack.
At the same time, these same industries are pushing Congress to grant their companies broad legal immunity: shielding toxic and pesticide manufacturers from lawsuits, even when their chemicals have already harmed people. Ninety-four percent of Americans support requiring companies to pay damages when the chemicals they make cause health harm. The industry is betting that if they move quietly enough, nobody will notice.
Chemical companies, oil companies, and gun manufacturers have all sought the same thing: a law that says “you can’t sue us, no matter what". These industries have all funded the same politicians, hired the same lobbyists, and used the same arguments: that accountability would be bad for the economy. What they have in common is that they all knew the harm their products could cause—and chose to hide it and fight regulation rather than protect people. This isn’t just bad policy. It’s corruption. Industries that have spent decades polluting our bodies and our communities are now trying to buy themselves permanent legal protection.
Take action with us to hold these companies accountable.

From PFAS in drinking water to pesticides linked to childhood illness, toxic pollution is damaging the health of families across America. But while we pay the price with our bodies, chemical company CEOs continue raking in billions. As your constituent I demand that polluting companies—oil, gas, and chemical alike—pay their fair share for the destruction they’ve caused, and stop Congress from handing them a “get out of jail free” card.
Former chemical industry lobbyist—Nancy Beck—is in charge of the EPA office that regulates chemicals. That’s not draining the swamp. That’s refilling it with chemical waste. We use chemicals that are banned everywhere else in the world, including in China.
94% of Americans—left, right, and center—agree that companies should pay when their chemicals harm people. It's time to address this problem at the root and ban all chemical lobbyists from the EPA.
