Ban SICK Trophy Hunting Websites

Rt Hon Lisa Nandy MP - Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport

Companies are selling SICK Package ‘Holidays’ for British Trophy Hunters to kill SEALS for kicks.

BookYourHunt.com sells animal shooting trips via its Amazon-style online store.

It is offering British hunters the chance to shoot seals for ‘sport’ for as little as £700 a day.

The hunts take place in Finland and Sweden. Trophy Hunters are offered “lots of shot opportunities”.

The ads state: “We offer hunting trips to individuals, families, and small groups. We provide everything you need to make your trip a great experience.”

Mathew, who has been on one of the hunts, described it as an “incredible adventure”.

“I loved every minute of this hunt,” he said. “I was looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I got everything I wanted and more!”

Another ad on the site calls it “an extraordinary hunt”.

Records compiled by CITES, which monitors international trade in endangered species, shows British hunters have previously travelled to the Namibian coast to shoot brown fur seals for trophies.

BookYourHunt.com also sells ‘holidays’ where British trophy hunters can shoot giraffes, cheetahs, elephants as well as squirrels, wallabies, beavers, camels and otters.

Joanna Lumley, a Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting supporter, condemned the seal hunts and called for a ban on ads marketing sick trophy hunting ‘holidays’:

“This is some of the most vile content anywhere on the internet. The photos of beautiful seals slaughtered for pleasure is absolutely heart-breaking. The worst of it is they are being killed just for so-called sport and a ‘trophy’.

“I think millions would agree with me in calling for these sadistic hunts to be outlawed at once, and the websites that market them should be shut down immediately.”

The Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting is calling on the Government to SHUT DOWN the sick ‘Hunt Porn’ websites like BookYourHunt.com.

Please take action today against ‘animal snuff porn’ websites which show shocking images of animals being killed for fun together with the sadists who have killed them.

These websites and the distressing images can be easily accessed by anyone on the internet, including children, and can leave them deeply traumatised.

We welcome the Government’s plans to ban imports of hunting trophies. The Government should now also ban access to websites such as BookYourHunt.com from within the UK, and ensure that young people in particular are not exposed to this disturbing and sickening content.
