Brandeis, Drop ICE: Call on Brandeis admin to drop ICE corporate enabler Enterprise Rent-a-Car
Brandeis Administrators
We, Brandeis students, faculty, staff, and alumni, are appalled by ICE’s trampling upon the human rights of communities across our country. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the primary provider of ICE’s vehicles, and is also a Brandeis preferred vendor. We have a responsibility to speak up when our university is doing business with a corporation that aids ICE’s operations. We call on you to end our relationship with ICE enabler Enterprise by May 1st, 2026.
Brandeis's relationship to Enterprise is based on the university's membership in E&I Cooperative Services, a national consortium for shared contracts and services. As such, we call on Brandeis to insist E&I drop Enterprise from its consortium and not renew their contract. Our tuition money and institutional resources should not be funding a corporation that directly threatens so many members of our campus community.
Brandeis has a rich history of social justice activism. Now is our time to claim that legacy. Continuing to contract with Enterprise goes against the core values that Brandeis stands for. Breaking our relationship with Enterprise is a powerful way to join our colleagues across the country in refusing to condone ICE’s campaign of terror in our communities.
