BRING BACK ARTS FUNDING!
LAUSD illegally cut millions of dollars of arts and music funding from its elementary schools last year in clear violation of Proposition 28. LAUSD deprived students of hundreds of new arts teachers and thousands of hours of arts instruction.
Join the campaign to Bring Back Arts Funding. Sign our petition and tell LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho to restore the illegal cuts. With your help, we can bring millions of dollars back to local elementary schools for arts and music education.

As documented by a diverse coalition of arts advocates, business and labor leaders, and Dan Chang's LAUSD school board campaign, there is clear evidence that LAUSD illegally cut arts and music funding from elementary schools during the 2023-2024 school year. This is a clear violation of Proposition 28. We urge you to take the following steps to immediately remedy the situation:
1) Return to every elementary school the arts and music funds that were illegally eliminated in the 2023-2023 school year within 30 days, specifically, the 10424-TSP-Itinerant Arts Teacher Support funds; and
2) Immediately begin an audit of Proposition 28 funds with additional scrutiny on secondary schools.
