Help bring my sister Alicia Home.
Alicia is 27, a mother of 2 young boys, and after being pulled over for a traffic infraction she has been transferred to ICE and awaiting her court date in front of an immigration judge.
My sister lives for her children. She is 27 years old and the mother of Damian who is 8 and Sammy who is 5. They are her first priority, and like any loving parent, awaits the great things they will do in the future.
Her two sons, my mother, our family and I are suffering. She was stopped for a traffic infraction, and subsequently arrested for unpaid traffic violations. It has already been two weeks since Alicia was ripped away from her children. From our lives.
We don’t know what to tell her kids. They ask when their mother is coming home, if their mother is a bad person. Like so many single moms, she had been unable to make payments on traffic fines. How can a child make sense of this? Alicia belongs at home, and our family belongs together.
Alicia came to the U.S. on a tourist visa when she was 9 years old. She has always lived and worked in the United States. Las Vegas is her home. She is a leader in her son’s schools, and Treasurer of the Parent Teacher Association board.
We don’t come from wealth and so we humbly ask for your support. If you can donate to help pay her legal fees, bond and to support her two children, Any amount would go along way.
If you are unable to make a donation now, please share this, and help us spread the word. Our family deserves to be together.
Alicia is a victim of the sheriffs’ 287g jail deportation program.. When she was arrested, we arrived at the jail to post bond with cash in our hands. The Las Vegas Metro Police Dept (LVMDP) refused to accept bond, because immigration wanted her. A municipal judge charged her for the traffic violations, but when she was due to be released, Las Vegas City Jail held her for an additional night on an ICE hold, until immigration arrived to take her into custody. Alicia’s case exposes the true purpose of Sheriff Lombardo and LVMPD’s collaboration with ICE.
Thank you for your support and for your fight.
With hope,
Yesenia and the Moya Garay family

Dear Honorable Immigration Judge,
I’m writing to request that you provide Alicia Moya Garay with a reasonable bond, and allow her to fight her case from home, in the company of her two United States citizen children. Alicia is a hard working mother who has lived the majority of her life here in the United States, this is her home, her family is here, and she is an important part of our community.
Alicia is a wonderful mother, and her two children. Damian, who is eight years old, and Sammy who is five years old are struggling without her. They don’t understand what is happening, and why they are forced to be separated from their mother.
Alicia is an upstanding member of the community. She is the treasurer of the Parent Teacher Association. With the exception of traffic violations, she has a clean record, and has always shown herself to be an exemplary and responsible mother and community leader. Alicia deserves an opportunity to be with her children while she fights her deportation case.
Alicia is an excellent candidate for release on bond while she petitions for the termination of her deportation case. She has strong community ties, and will stay in Las Vegas with her children while she fights her case. She represents no risk to the community, and to the contrary is a model community member. As such, please grant her a reasonable bond or release her under her own recognizance to be able to return home and petition for the termination of her deportation case.
Thank you for your consideration.
