CCS is bad for Landmark and Market Tower, its workers, and Indianapolis as a whole. With no community ties outside of profit, CCS is not invested in our city or its workers. In a city where 1 in 5 children lives in poverty, companies like CCS are even more detrimental. Not only does CCS pay poverty wages and deny its employees a voice on the job, they have also racked up thousands of dollars in fines for endangering janitors on the job, exposing them to seriously dangerous chemicals with no protections. Workers for CCS have endured unsafe working conditions while on the job.
As Indianapolis continues to lose good manufacturing jobs, as shown by the recent decision to move Carrier operations out of Indiana, workers have been forced to turn to low paying service work, where they are denied rights, dignity, and a living wage. CCS is a janitorial company that continues to choose profits over their workers. Join SEIU and union workers in our fight against CCS and their bad practices.
Our message will be simple: when business, civic and government leaders choose responsible contractors, Indy will prosper. When they choose irresponsible contractors, Indy will remain in the grip of poverty.
It is time for Fairbridge Partners and Zeller, owners of Landmark and Market Tower, as well as their tenants to stand for what is right and hire a responsible contractor that will pay above poverty wages and protect its employees from dangerous chemicals while on the job.
Show your support for firing CCS and choosing a responsible contractor that cares about its workers and our city!
