I’m writing as a frustrated Democrat who is tired of seeing our leadership back down when we need fighters the most. Your recent decision to side with Republicans on the funding bill was a slap in the face to the millions of Americans who expect you to stand up to MAGA extremism, not enable it.

Even Nancy Pelosi and other top Democrats publicly opposed your move. Pelosi herself urged Senate Democrats to reject the deal, yet you pushed it through anyway. Now, House Democrats are outraged, calling it a betrayal. And they’re right. When our leaders refuse to fight for us, they weaken our entire movement.

This is bigger than just one bill. It’s a pattern. Time and time again, you take the easy route—cutting deals with those who are actively working to dismantle our democracy. You’ve given them power they don’t deserve, and it’s costing us.

So I’m asking you: Will you finally stand up and fight for our democracy, or will you step aside and let real leaders take charge? Because we cannot afford more compromises, more weak leadership, and more missed opportunities. We need strength, conviction, and a willingness to take on the extremists who threaten our future. If you can’t provide that, it’s time for someone else to.
