Support CO Adjunct Faculty in their fight for a living wage

Students, parents, and taxpayers don’t realize that the wealthy Colo. Community College System chooses to pay its highly educated, committed, and talented Adjuncts poverty wages. Wages for the 64 CCCS presidents and vice-presidents alone tops $40K PER DAY.
These same adjuncts have been on the frontlines throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, providing support and structure to students when they needed them most. We cannot put students first if we put teachers last.
Stand with us to deliver a message to the Colorado State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education that Adjuncts deserve dignity on their job!

Adjuncts have no health-care benefits, are unpaid between semesters, work 2 or 3 other jobs, receive retirement
benefits below poverty level, are deeply in debt, and most are paid less than poverty wages (less than $25K).
Adjunct faculty deserve stability in their chosen profession. This includes wages and benefits that can provide dignity in their work, and stable enough employment so that they can support themselves to teach the future generations of college students in this state.
Reprioritize the CCCS budget so Adjuncts have equal pay for equal work. It is fraudulent to advertise all classes as equal, when, in fact, 80% of the classes here are taught by part-time Adjuncts whose wages are so low they qualify for food banks, food stamps, subsidized housing, and subsidized health care benefits. You can't support students without also supporting our teachers.
