CONGRESS: Make the Wealthy Pay Their Fair Share

The average monthly Social Security benefit for a retired worker is $1,980.

Meanwhile, millionaires and billionaires are paying a smaller portion of their income into Social Security than working Americans.

That’s wrong and unfair.

Tell your lawmakers to strengthen Social Security and make wealthy Americans pay their fair share.

The richest Americans are paying a lower percentage of their income to Social Security than working Americans.

Many of the wealthiest Americans stopped paying their Social Security taxes for 2025 in January!

If the rich paid their fair share into the system, we could increase benefits for current and future retirees and ensure the trust fund is there for our children and grandchildren.

We urge you to close the loophole that allows the richest Americans to pay less than their fair share and strengthen our Social Security system.
