Defend Your Freedom: Say 'Yes' to Uninterrupted Cannabis Access

Florida House Members and Senators

Prohibitionists want to take away your right to Cannabis before you Vote!

Governor DeSantis, 'the man who set Florida free" is defied by Florida Legislative Leaders

Recreational Marijuana..."It'll be on the Ballot," DeSantis Predicts
“We’ll respect the decisions that the states make on that,” Governor DeSantis said Saturday in Dubuque.

While Governor DeSantis believes we need to respect states' rights, prohibitionists in the Florida Legislature have defied the Governor with a series of bills designed to take away your rights. Before you even vote.

Right now Floridians have a limited right to treat common ailments and pain with NO right to recreational access.

Instead of supporting the will of the voters to expand Cannabis access, some members of the legislative leadership are plotting to make cannabis harder to reach for most Floridians. These extremists are promoting a prohibitionist agenda as directed by Drug-Free America. These bills CAP THC, eliminate flavoring, CAP serving sizes, and further limit where these products can be sold. The Legal Cannabis Market being served adults is the equivalent of giving adults near-beer in a sippy cup. This is not the Market we want or Need.

This is unacceptable. When the Legalization amendment passes in November 2024, Floridians will have a natural and constitutionally protected right to personal use of cannabis. As Governor DeSantis has said, he will respect the decision the states make on supporting cannabis protection in their state constitutions. Hold lawmakers accountable! Sign and share this petition.

In 2016, Florida voters passed a referendum guaranteeing the right to legally possess cannabis for medical use. Hemp is already federally legal. Yet, prohibitionists in the Florida legislature are pushing Cannabis out of reach.

THC CAPS and ever-changing (and expensive) packaging requirements harm consumers. Lawmakers further restrict consumers' ability to work and the right to own a firearm.

The current bill HB 1269 states:

Marijuana for personal use may not have a tetrahydrocannabinol potency, by weight or volume, of greater than 10 percent for marijuana in a form for smoking or greater than 60 percent in the final product for all other forms of marijuana, excluding edibles. Edibles for personal use may not contain more than 200 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol and a single serving portion of an edible may not exceed 10 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol.

The Florida legislature must promote cannabis access not deny it. It’s wrong for legislators to oppose over 60% of Floridians who voted in support of constitutionally-protected cannabis for medical use.

STOP! HB 1269

Cannabis access is vitally important to Floridians.

We expect the Legislature to not only safeguard existing access but also improve cannabis access. HB 1269 will:

Restrict marijuana potency to 10% THC or less for smokable Flower
Limit concentrates & vape potency to 60% THC
Require edibles be under 200 mg THC per package and 10 mg THC per serving

A recent poll found 68% of respondents AGREE it is WRONG for lawmakers to limit THC! Of those surveyed, 63% said they would vote AGAINST any politician who undermines the Adult Use constitutional amendment.

Protect my access to Cannabis. I urge you to vote NO on 1269 and the package of prohibitionist bills.
