DEMAND ACCESS TO EVIDENCE
Dr. John Read, Director, Ecological Horizons

Following the release of comments made by a South Australian academic claiming that 1080 is humane and "quietly puts cats to sleep," the Coalition has called out Dr. John Read of the University of Adelaide demanding public access to evidence.
We are demanding Dr. Read provide the public with access to this evidence so they can verify this information for themselves.
The excerpt of the presentation obtained and published by the Coalition clearly shows Dr. Read claiming that 1080 quietly and peacefully puts cats to sleep.
If he is willing to say he has proof, shouldn’t he be willing to share it with us?

Dear Dr. Read,
I write to you today seeking access to files referred to in a recent presentation given in Launceston, Tasmania, containing video evidence depicting the poisoning of cats with sodium fluoroacetate (Compound 1080).
I note your comment 1080 is humane and that cats do not suffer when dying of 1080 poisoning was made in relation to video footage obtained during field studies.
I request access to these files to verify these publicly made claims.
I look forward to your prompt response.
