Demand Fair Compensation for Jersey City Construction Workers!
Concrete Rising

During the summer of 2024, hundreds of construction workers employed by GP Concrete Construction, LLC worked for weeks without pay at Kushner Companies’ The Journal and Namdar Group’s project at 35 Cottage St.
Concrete Rising, who hired GP Concrete, replaced them with another contractor, but did not make workers whole.
GP Concrete workers contacted the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) and we helped over 70 workers file wage claims with the New Jersey Department of Labor (NJDOL). NJDOL’s front line investigation found that wages were due to employees and, as of September 23, 2025, Concrete Rising and GP Concrete are disputing the findings, and workers still have not been paid.

GP Concrete workers have been waiting over a year to be paid for the work that they've already done!
Enough is enough!
We demand Concrete Rising and GP Concrete stop delaying the process and pay workers what they are owed!
