Demand TD Divest
Members of the Executive and Board of Directors, TD Bank
A financial institution's investment choices carry profound ethical weight.
Almost three years into a live-streamed genocide, TD Bank continues to maintain significant financial stakes in major global aerospace and defence corporations. These corporations manufacture weapons, surveillance technology, and military components utilized by the Israeli military in operations that numerous international bodies, legal experts, and human rights organizations have identified as severe violations of international humanitarian law, apartheid, and plausible genocide. Furthermore, maintaining economic ties that support the Israeli economy amid ongoing illegal occupation directly contradicts universal ethical standards and also contravenes International Law.
TD has $42.9 billion of holdings in companies complicit in “Israel”’s crimes (Drop TD):
Palantir: a data analytics company that facilitates surveillance, predictive policing, ICE raids and deportations. Palantir’s CEO has admitted that their products are used in killing Palestinians, and claims its software was used in “Israel”’s 2024 “pager attacks” in Lebanon.
Elbit Systems: ”Israel”’s largest weapons company.
Cellebrite: a digital intelligence company that makes phone-cracking tools, used by “Israel” to harvest data from the devices of thousands of Palestinians kidnapped from Gaza. Also used by the RCMP and Canada’s border agency.

Dear Members of the Executive and Board of Directors:
Re: Formal Demand for Full Divestment from Weapons Manufacturing and Cessation of Financial Relations with the State of Israel
I am writing to formally demand that TD Bank fully divest all financial holdings from the weapons industry that is illegally arming the Israeli/USA apartheid and genocide. Specifically, we demand TD Bank abide by International Law and International Court of Justice principles and position paper, as follows:
1. abstain from entering into economic or trade dealing with Israel which may entrench its unlawful presence in the territory;
2. cease all finance, investment and economic relations with Israel that maintain the unlawful occupation or contribute to maintaining it;
3. cease all financial dealings with any private enterprise, non-profit or NGO that continues dealings with the state of Israel.
These actions also run counter to the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles that TD Bank publicly claims to uphold. TD’s actions reveal complicity in human rights abuses which clearly violate their own corporate social responsibility mandate, thereby exposing itself to severe reputational and financial risks from consumer boycotts.
We invite you to review Just Peace Advocate’s research paper (JustPeaceAdvocates.ca) outlining TD Bank’s complicity, including deep investments in Israel’s illegal military occupation, apartheid regime and settler colonial project. We will continue to pressure TD Bank until full divestment of all financial holdings from the weapons industry that is illegally arming the Israeli/USA apartheid and genocide.
Shame on TD Bank. Divest Now.
