Keith Ellison for DNC Chair

District of Columbia DNC Members

The Democratic Party's defeats in 2016 were a wake-up call. We are in dire need of new leadership with a strong, progressive vision. That's why we need Keith Ellison as Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

We are ordinary DC Democratic voters and we urge you to support Keith Ellison for DNC Chair.

The Democratic Party's defeats across the board in recent years demonstrate that our party is in dire need of a different kind of leader. A leader who offers and embodies a strong, positive vision to contrast with the dark, hateful politics of Donald Trump, Steve Bannon and their Republican allies in Congress. A leader who can bring together the key constituencies of the Democratic party base, including people of color, working class people and young people.

Keith Ellison is the only candidate in this race who has proven his fitness for that difficult task. From his effective leadership of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, to his strong ties to the critical Midwest region, to his record of electoral and fundraising success, to his charisma as a public spokesperson, Ellison has the ability to reach new constituencies and mobilize tremendous grassroots support across the country, and that sort of bottom-up rebuild is exactly what we will need to regain power.

We care deeply about the future of the Democratic Party. That is why we support Keith Ellison for DNC Chair and urge you to support him, as well.
