Don't Cut VLG Resident Care!

Management at Villa Leonardo Gambin have recently announced their intention to reduce resident care by eliminating several nursing positions and slashing nursing care hours. Their plan to cut 140 hours of nursing care per week would mean fewer nurses available at all hours and just two nurses on-duty to care for all 168 VLG residents at night!
As we've seen over the past two years, nurses are invaluable to any long term care home, providing levels of care that no one else can. At a time when nurses are more in-demand and more valued than ever; at a time when VLG is already facing a staff shortage in all positions that puts impossibly-high workloads on existing staff, it is irresponsible and dangerous to cut nursing hours and nursing staff at VLG.
Fewer nurses on-duty to care for the residents of VLG diminishes quality of care and endangers the residents. It also means that many of the dedicated nurses who've put themselves at risk throughout COVID to ensure VLG residents got the care they needed now face losing their health benefits due to diminished hours or losing their jobs altogether! These planned nursing cuts come as a slap in the face to the health care heroes at VLG.
WE DEMAND THAT VLG REVERSE THIS WRONG-HEADED DECISION AND RESTORE THE NURSING HOURS AND STAFF TO PREVIOUS LEVELS!
