It's time for Gov. Deal to expand Medicaid to Georgia! Not only would 640,000 Georgians benefit from expansion, but it would be covered 100% by the federal government until 2016 and then 90% for the years after! We stand united in this petition to call unequivocally for the immediately expansion of Medicaid to Georgia. As citizens we will no longer tolerate a bad deal for Georgia based purely on partisan politics. In Georgia 640,000 people would benefit directly from Medicaid expansion. The state would be helped as well, not only with job growth in the healthcare sector, and all the supporting industries, but financially as well. The cost of the Medicaid program and expansion will be covered 100% until 2016, and then 90% in the years after by the federal government. There is simply no excuse for you to deny those benefits to the people you have sworn to protect.
You refuse to bring aid to the state, and over 640,000 Georgians, and then further punish us by sending our tax dollars to other states. Our federal taxes are paying for the states who have rightfully accepted Medicaid expansion, regardless of if you accept it for us. Stop playing partisan politics with people’s lives and EXPAND MEDICAID NOW!
