Drop Charges Against Jesse Gomez

Jesse Gomez's daughter was involved in a physical altercation in Bend Oregon by a peer while the aggressors mother and boyfriend cheered the child on. The boyfriend towered over the child and continued to use profanity. Finally, the child was chased out of the area by the mother while bystanders cried out in fear. The whole thing was recorded. Another video shows the mother taunting a child about her mother dying. It was psychopathic behavior.
After the adults were cited and released with a slap on the wrist. Jesse, the father, took initiative into his own hands. He was involved in an altercation with the girl's mom and boyfriend during his attempt to confront the situation. He had brought a bat for protection and defense, the boyfriend was a known felon. Police arrived after being called and took Gomez into custody on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, fourth-degree disorderly conduct, and harassment. A father, protecting his daughter, faces more charges than the adults attacking his daughter...

The community of Bend [and beyond] stands together and asks that all charges be dropped against Jesse Gomez. What occurred at Les Schwab Amphitheater, on Sunday, April 14th., creates an enviroment that promotes hate and bullying.
As parents, our job is to instill solid values in our children, respect for each other, communication, and compassion. This is what raises strong adults that are valuable members of society. Sierra Brown, and Charles Durand, fail to provide a safe enviroment to the extent of mental child abuse by conditioning this kind of behavior.
Our job is also to protect our children. Jesse Gomez was protecting his daughter when the written law failed him.
Assult 4 against a child is a felony when committed by an adult.
Sierra Brown [and Charles Durand] used her 12 year old child as a tool to assult another child. The proof is in the video, coaching the 12 year old to "punch her in the face," like fighting is a sport.
The saftey of both children, and all of our children, is at risk if this is allowed to happen. It sends a message that bullying is OK. Our community is appalled.
