Drop the Charges: Don't Prosecute Ellazar Williams!

District Attorney David Soares

Ellazar Williams is in grave legal danger, facing the potential injustice of being prosecuted for a crime he did not commit.  He needs your help.  And the District Attorney of Albany County needs to hear from the people of the Capital Region that they want the charges against this young man dropped immediately.

On August 20, 2018, Ellazar Williams, 19 years old, was shot by Albany
NY police detective James Olsen and left paralyzed for life from the
chest down. Olsen claimed Ellazar Williams was threatening him, but video
shows Ellazar Williams running away from the officer and medical records
prove he was shot in the back. Albany DA David Soares cleared Detective
Olsen of all wrongdoing, and instead Ellazar Williams has been charged with a felony, menacing an officer.

DA SOARES: THE COMMUNITY DEMANDS THAT YOU DROP ALL THE CHARGES AGAINST ELLAZAR WILLIAMS IMMEDIATELY.
