We are calling on ECHN/PROSPECT to treat Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) employees, Rockville General Hospital (RGH) employees and members of our communities with respect and dignity during this crisis. Numerous grievances and concerns have been voiced by union members due to the indifference ECHN/PROSPECT has shown. This is the reality:

·       ECHN/PROSPECT wants to exploit this crisis to strip our communities at Rockville from major healthcare services

·       ECHN/PROSPECT has threatened to close services at RGH which could lead to loss of jobs

·       ECHN/PROSPECT claims to have adequate PPE; but management is not letting staff always have access to it

·       ECHN/PROSPECT developed a bogus Pandemic Pay Program which seems to be a sham for anyone to receive hazard pay

·       ECHN/PROSPECT’s Pandemic Pay Program excludes many frontline workers at risk

·       ECHN/PROSPECT will be receiving millions upon millions of dollars from our Federal Government while ignoring frontline workers’ demands

·       ECHN/PROSPECT has failed to effectively communicate with frontline workers which has created problems that could have been avoided.

We demand:

1-   HAZARD PAY

2-   RETAIN SURGICAL SERVICES AT RGH

3-   PPE WITHOUT HASSLE

4-   STOCK ON SUPPLIES
