Israel's largest weapons manufacturer is hiding in plain sight in Arlington, VA!

Elbit Systems, 12th floor tenant of Arlington Towers, makes a killing on killing: it sells hundreds of millions of dollars of deadly drone and surveillance technologies to US Customs and Border patrol after testing this same tech on Israel's apartheid wall and genocide against the Palestinian people. Transwestern & Brookfield Properties rent out Arlington Towers to this company that is responsible for drones used to murder Palestinian kids and World Central Kitchen aid workers in Gaza.

Our demand is simple: TransWestern & Brookfield Properties must cut ties with genocide. Ending the Arlington Towers lease with Elbit Systems means joining thousands of businesses that are refusing to profit from injustice. Together we're following in the footsteps of the South African anti-apartheid movement, creating an economic shock wave for justice that's big enough to end apartheid and genocide.

We believe Virginia is for lovers, not killers. We will love on our immigrant community, our Palestinian community, our Lebanese community, and every community that calls Virginia home and helps our community thrive--let's show up for community by kicking bomb-makers off our block!

In the aftermath of recent elections, many Virginia residents are fearful of reckless national policies to deepen global conflicts and usher in mass deportations of our neighbors via prison camps and family separation. Arlington community businesses and institutions now have a wider role to play in locally defending the safety of all people.

Your tenant, Elbit Systems, flies in the face of those values: Elbit Systems profits from genocide in Gaza as well as mass surveillance and deportation at the Mexico-U.S. border: Elbit is among the top 14 companies described as "giants in the border security business," as documented by No More Deaths & Transnational Institute's report on Corporate Profiteering and Militarization of US Borders. Elbit is Israel's largest weapons manufacturer and imports technologies of racist repression, bringing the technologies it develops for Israel's apartheid system to the U.S. in order to criminalize migrants. In recent years, the company signed a contract worth up to $239 million to build tower systems that process information in a control center system called TORCH which "Elbit first developed for Israel’s separation wall in the West Bank."

Elbit also supplies Israel with weapons that they then use in the genocide in Gaza, manufacturing 500 pound bombs, attack drones, "assassin" drones, gun systems and ammunition, components used in fighter jets, and 155 mm artillery shells. Elbit armed Israel with the Hermes450 drones that the IDF used to murder 4 Palestinian children while playing on a beach in 2014 as well as 7 World Center Kitchen workers providing aid in April 2024.

Join the wave of companies around the globe who are dropping Elbit due to concerns about the ongoing genocide and the declining financial viability of doing business with apartheid. Most recently, Barclay's Bank sold all of its shares in Elbit Systems, totaling $3.4 million, following global protests. A huge range of financial institutions have made the sound investment decision to cut ties with genocide: the largest bank in Europe, HSBC, announced it sold all its holdings in Elbit Systems, Norway's pension fund dropped Elbit due to ethical concerns, and Danish pension fund PKA Ltd. divested from Elbit, citing concerns about Elbit Systems' “involvement in the construction and maintenance of the [Separation] Wall."

Arlington businesses must cut ties with genocide to stop genocide profiteering: stop leasing to Elbit Systems!
