Election Day is just days away, and the establishment is playing hide-and-seek.

At the singular sanctioned debate for the TX-33 Democratic Primary, one thing was missing: The other candidates. While Zeeshan Hafeez was there to answer the tough questions on affordability, healthcare, and ICE, Colin Allred and Julie Johnson left their podiums empty.

In a newly redrawn district where families are facing rising rents and economic uncertainty, "business as usual" isn't enough. We aren't just choosing a name; we are choosing a representative for a diverse, working-class community that has been ignored for too long.

Why are they staying home? Is it because they’d rather rely on corporate PAC money than grassroots energy? Is it because they don’t want to answer for their records in a room full of actual voters? Or do they simply think they don’t have to show up?

Voters shouldn't have to guess. A debate is a job interview, and in TX-33, the people are the boss. You shouldn't get the job if you don't show up for the interview.
