Black Clergy United to End Capital Punishment

Federal and State Legislative Bodies

Black faith spaces stand at the intersection of faith, justice and morality. In the fight to end the death penalty, Black faith spaces remind our nation that justice without mercy is not justice at all and that no system built on racism and violence can ever claim the authority to take a life. The Faith Leaders of Color Coalition is a multifaith national organization dedicated to advocating for justice, equity, and interrogation into the American Capital Punishment system.

The Faith Leaders of Color Coalition (flocc) allows space for Black and Indigenous faith leaders to share stories, build community, ask questions, take action, and collaborate with other movement leaders working to strengthen Black faith communities' ideals on equity, community safety and justice.

The Faith Leaders of Color Coalition (flocc) was born out of a cohort in 2021 when policy leaders, advocates, activists, lawyers, academics, and faith leaders desired to extend access of policy, legal, and execution information directly to Black and Indigenous pastors/clergy. This initiative has now grown into an organization of more than 800+ supporters and partners who are working to end the capital punishment system.

As a lawmaker we call on your commitment to walk alongside those working to end the death penalty both on a state and federal level.

Thank you.
