We, the undersigned, urge Virtua Health to give patients the same Safe Staffing that patients have at Cooper and Inspira hospitals.

We stand with HPAE Local 5105 nurses who are at the bargaining table negotiating for enforceable nurse to patient ratios. Over the last two years, HPAE nurses at Cooper and Inspira have negotiated safe staffing ratios into their contracts, and Virtua Health has the ability to be the 14th hospital to achieve this standard for their patients.

The staffing crisis is a concern for every patient and caregiver who understand when nurses are working short staffed it can have dire consequences on the delivery of care. Limiting the number of patients nurses are caring for reduces patient deaths, improves healing and increases patient satisfaction. It also helps retain nurses in our hospitals. We all understand Safe Staffing Save Lives.

We strongly urge Virtua Health to Get It Done. Burlington County patients deserve to have access to better care.
