As a member of the recovery community (people in recovery, family members and supporters of recovery) I am adding my voice of support in Colorado today to this petition to expand community driven, culturally competent, and person centered recovery choices regardless of recovery pathway or of where someone lives in Colorado.
People in recovery have unique needs and deserve access to diverse resources available to them. Advocating for peer recovery centers everywhere will allow recovery to thrive all across Colorado.
I also am in support of addressing the great need to expand ethically driven peer services for all. Peer to peer support helps individuals maintain recovery and break the cycle of addiction.
The recovery community has lived experience and should be at any table in which decisions are being made for this community. Include people in recovery from all pathways, family members, and supporters of recovery in that process!
Make the expansion of recovery choice and access a reality in Colorado!
