Fair Contract for ACLU of Maine Workers

Alison Beyea, Executive Director, and Members of the Board of Directors of the ACLU of Maine

We, the undersigned members of the community, stand in strong support of the union workers at the ACLU of Maine. We urge you as the leaders of the organization to meaningfully come to the table to settle a fair contract with them as soon as possible. We understand that while you have had all of their proposals since July, you have failed to address ACLU workers key concerns in order to reach an agreement that will bring greater equity to your workplace.

For an organization whose mission is grounded in justice and equality, it is unfortunate to see you fall short on living these values in your own workplace.

We call on the ACLU of Maine management to settle a fair contract now that respects the people who make the work of the organization possible.
