Fair Funding for Croydon NOW
The national government
Croydon is the victim of unjust and unfair funding.
From 2022-2023, Croydon received £4,650 in funding per head, while our neighbours in Lambeth received £5,077. In Southwark, the number was even higher - £5,378.
While our neighbours get more support, Croydon households have been with stretched services and a 27% hike in Council Tax from Conservative Mayor Jason Perry.
The Conservatives in Westminster had 14 years to sort this out and never did.
This just isn’t working for the people of Croydon. And it isn’t fair.
We’ve seen what the current Labour government can do for our borough, including the recent £1.5 million investment for town centre. This support is welcome, but Croydon needs more than one-off funding announcements. We deserve a fair, consistent deal that reflects the real needs of our community.
So sign your name to our petition and join me in telling the government: it’s time Croydon got its fair share.

Croydon is the victim of unjust and unfair funding. From 2022–2023, Croydon received just £4,650 in funding per head, compared with £5,077 in Lambeth and £5,378 in Southwark.
We welcome the recent £1.5 million investment in our high streets and community resources through the Pride in Place funding, but Croydon needs sustained, equitable funding that reflects the true needs of our borough.
We, the undersigned, call on the government to deliver a fair funding deal for Croydon; one that recognises our challenges and our potential.
