ELECTRIFY Flagstaff Fleets NOW!
City of Flagstaff, Mountain Line, NAU, FUSD and Coconino County
Transportation by gas-powered vehicles is a major contributor to Flagstaff's greenhouse gas emissions. We are calling on the City of Flagstaff, Mountain Line (NAIPTA), NAU, the Flagstaff Unified School District, and Coconino County to transition to electric buses, cars and trucks immediately.
Without these measures being implemented right away, the City of Flagstaff will not reach its goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

Electrifying vehicle fleets throughout the county is a straightforward way to bring Coconino one big step closer to net-zero emissions. This is because there is so much clean electricity being built now. We have 1,424 megawatts (MW) of wind and solar power already installed or being built by 2024. This already includes the 99 MW Perrin Ranch Wind Power plant, the 127 MW Dry Lake Hills Wind Power plant, the 161 MW of Wind Power and 60-80 MW of Solar Power being built now by Babbitt Ranches, the 477 MW Wind Power plant being built at Chevelon Butte, and the 480 MW of Solar Power that will be built by 2024 on the Babbitt Ranches.
The time for action is now, we cannot afford to wait.
