Show your support for the City Bureau Workers Guild!

City Bureau workers have announced a union drive—will you join us to request formal recognition from our leadership?

The City Bureau Workers Guild is a group of journalists, program staff, and operations workers organizing to build a more sustainable, equitable, and accountable workplace at City Bureau. United across departments and job functions, we are committed to advancing the organization’s founding values through collective action. We are organizing with the Chicago News Guild, TNG-CWA Local 34071 part of The NewsGuild-CWA, the largest union of journalists and media workers in North America.

City Bureau has grown so much since being founded in 2016, thanks to the road paved by a grassroots community of mission-driven journalists and local media leaders. By signing this petition, you’re showing City Bureau’s senior leadership team and board of directors that our community supports the guild’s effort to unionize and shape the future of our organization collectively.
