"Hello, my name is Alberto Quiala Fernandez. I am from Cuba and I am currently detained at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, WA.

I have been here for one year and two months. A time that has been very hard and difficult for me, precisely because of the trauma and psychological damage and fear, since ICE wants to deport me to a third country because my country does not accept me.

They are trying to send me to Mexico. Many of my colleagues were deported to Mexico and they live on the streets.

And because of this, I am very afraid of being deported to a third country. Also, in case I am deported, it will be difficult for me to look for a job because I have a mental disorder, diagnosed with anxiety, depression and schizophrenia. Most of the time, I'm on medication.
