“Hello, my name is Anelys Karina Garcés Infante. I’m pregnant, and I have been detained at the NWDC for a month now. The food arrives late and at the wrong times—sometimes at 3 in the morning, other times at 11 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. Even though I’m pregnant, they don’t care about my health or providing me with the proper nutrition.
The specific help I’m asking for is a lawyer to accompany me to court on September 10th. I want to feel supported and show the court that I have community support.”
