“Hello, my name is Dioneri Henriques Rosario. I was detained after my marriage interview with my partner; that’s where they arrested me. They won’t give me access to anything, only asylum and I don’t qualify for asylum in my country.

I’ve been detained here at the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) in Tacoma, WA for a month now. My lawyer is contacting ICE to request medical release. But they won’t give me anything or even a response.

I suffer from anxiety, but it’s gotten worse here. I have a phobia. I was in an accident three years ago where I hit my head. Because of this, I have no feeling in part of my face and arm, and the conditions here are making my health worse.

My next court date is Monday, July 27. Please, I want the public to help me and hear my story because my partner is also suffering. He has health problems, and I was taking care of him. I don’t want to be deported to my home country because I’ve had bad experiences there. Thank you.”
