"Due to my non-functional bladder I require a self-catheter and I was not provided any supplies in the Northwest Detention Center. I went to the hospital with a bladder infection. I am experiencing ongoing issues: I have not been not been given the proper supplies or sometimes any supplies. GEO said that due to the government shutdown they did not have the budget for my catheter supplies all while I am experiencing pain daily…
I’ve also faced a potential sexual assault in here and my initial complaint was buried. GEO delayed taking me to the hospital long enough for my forensics to come back inconclusive. I’ve had to push and push for there to be an investigation into that assault."

Erica Peltier is one of the many people detained in the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) where people continue to experience human rights abuses. The conditions inside the NWDC are not fit for any human being.
Erica Peltier has cancer and has not been getting treatment or even the correct medical supplies which already led to an infection. In fact, medical staff in the NWDC told Erica that even when her cancer is confirmed she will not be getting treatment while detained. GEO also delayed taking Erica to the hospital after a potential sexual assault.
I urge you to intervene in this profit over people scheme and demand detained immigrants’ immediate release.
This is a pattern that needs to end. Please reach out to ICE and urge them to release Erica so her health does not worsen in detention conditions and she can get treatment for her cancer.
