“I’ve been with ICE since 2021. I never expected to be in this situation for so long.
ICE uses lies and intimidation to deport innocent people. ICE does not follow protocols or processes.
I have gained weight due to stress. I experience back pain because of the beds, that feel like cardboard. The food is horrible. We need to spend money on commissary every week just to survive. We get treated as animals not as human beings. We are in very bad conditions.
The public needs to know what we are going through and how the decisions politicians are making are impacting us. They can go home everyday to a nice bed, food, and be with their loved ones. We can’t do this, we are barely able to reach out to our loved ones. Many of our loved ones are on the other side of the world.
Many of our families are on the East Coast, while we are on the West. ICE visitation restrictions makes it hard and difficult for our families to visit. My girlfriend took a day off to fly to see me from another state many miles away. But she was only allowed an hour to see me. Only an hour.
They want to deport me to a country that I do not know. I was convicted of a crime I did not do, and continue to fight for my freedom and release.
This is what I’m going through and I need help. I try to reach out to people but get no answers.”
